Anne gained her Doctorate from Lund University, where she is Professor in Construction Management and, since 2008, has been Head. In 2007, she received the award of Excellent Teaching Practitioner of the Faculty of Engineering. Anne gained a high-school Diploma in Chemical Engineering, but she changed path and was subsequently awarded a Master of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Lund. Anne’s curiosity also led her through some courses at different faculties, including theoretical philosophy.
Anne has been involved in several academic positions and commissions such as Chairman of the Employment Board in the Faculty, member of the Pedagogical Academy Assessment Group and memberships of the boards of education for civil engineering, surveying, technology management and Bachelor’s degrees. She has been engaged in the self-evaluation of three education programmes (civil engineering, surveying and risk management) for the Swedish National Agency for Higher Education and has been a member of the Representative Collegial Body for the Faculty, a member of the council committee for the election procedure concerning Dean and Deputy Dean for the Faculty in 2007 and 2011.
Anne has a great interest in many issues related to Lund University and its students and as a consequence, she has been engaged in several contexts such as having responsibility for faculty-shared (Science & Engineering) postgraduate courses in project management, acting as project leader for “Girls in the Faculty of Engineering”, pro-inspector for the student organisation Sydskånska Nationen and Chairman of the Board for the Collegium Michael Hansen, a residential centre for 350 students.
Anne recognises the importance of having a healthy dialogue with industry and society and has undertaken various assignments, for example Vice-President of the Board of the Swedish Organization for Quality in Construction, Member of the Board of the Building Council (Byggrådet), Leader for Construction Management activities at the Swedish Construction University, Member of the jury of Guldhuset, which appoints a young professional award – the Leader of the Year in the Construction Sector and Chairman of the jury for the grand prize in the Built Environment. In addition, Anne is a certified teacher for quality issues in the construction industry and has secured various consultancy commissions covering quality, environmental and management issues.
During her years in academia, Anne has published many articles and has been a constant supervisor of doctoral students. Anne has also been responsible for a number of research projects both nationally and in cooperation with other countries.
Anne’s family consists of three sons and her partner Göran. In her spare time, she enjoys outdoor activities, renovating old houses, Argentine tango and opera.
