Carlos Martinez is a doctoral researcher in construction management. He holds a BS Degree in Architecture from the University of Texas at Arlington and an MS Degree in Sustainable Urban Design from Lund.
His main academic interests include stakeholder management, participatory design processes in urban design, sustainable urban development, design effectiveness and planning for start-up.
Carlos is a native Mexican who has lived in the United States and who then moved to Sweden to pursue higher education. It was not until he ventured out to Sweden that he found a climate and a residency that best suited him (no kidding!)
His personal interests are sports including soccer and running, spending time with family and friends, cooking and travelling. His professional interests are building communities through participatory design, architecture and sustainable urban design.
Carlos is a member of the Swedish Association of Architects and Architects without borders.
